Course Description

Upon completion of this course the student should be able to install and troubleshoot an Allen Bradley 1336 AC drive, by accomplishing the following tasks: Explain the operation of an AC induction motor, Interpret motor name plate data, discuss the operation of an AC drive, describe Pulse Width Modulation and the volts/Hz ratio, match the drive to the motor and load, Install and wire the drive, explain how to use the control panel for programming and troubleshooting the drive.

Labs include: Drive initial startup and configuration, program I/O functions, trace and clear faults, access the fault history, optimization and tuning, alternate configurations, and local vs. remote control.
