This is a course introduces you to the hardware, programming techniques and basic instructions used in a PLC 5 system. Students will interpret, make changes to, and/or draft Ladder Logic, create, and modify an RSLogix 5 project.
Topics include: Hardware, software (program organization), addressing and addressing modes, the basic instruction set (bits, timers, counters, compare, and math), communications and programming, motor control circuits, alarming circuits, predictive maintenance circuits, troubleshooting techniques, and analog card scaling.
Hands-on exercises include: Establishing communications with a Controller, create and monitor Data Tables, document and search Ladder Logic, scale analog signals.
