The student should be able to describe the operation and control of an AC Motor, size the drive and motor, and install and wire the drive.
Topics include: Configuration switches and jumpers within the drive, drive terminal points, critical drive parameters, using the keypad to view and change parameters, reading and interpreting control block diagrams, using the display to aid in troubleshooting. .
Labs include: Configuration and start-up the drive, interface the drive with a PLC, configuring Digital I/O, Speed References, Skip Frequencies, Ramp Rates, Stop Modes, using Drive Software, Troubleshooting, and configuring COMM modules for data transfer.
