Course Description

This 8 hour course is based upon the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.

Topics include: OSHA and NFPA 70E.  Mitigating Shock Hazards, Arc Flash Hazards and Arc Blast Hazards by selecting the appropriate protective strategies. Safe electrical work practices. Determining shock boundaries and arc flash boundaries. Selecting and using Personal Protective Equipment (apparel, tools, and test equipment). Reading and interpreting arc flash labels. Inspecting and maintaining PPE.
