Course Description
This course is an introduction to conveyor systems. The central theme will be safety when working on and around conveyors.
Topics covered will include conveyor types and construction. Drive systems, alignment and safety interlocks. Sequencing and speed matching. Inspection and troubleshooting conveyor problems. Maintenance and repair of conveyors and associated equipment.
Students will be encouraged to discuss issues involving conveyors at their work locations.
