Course Description

This course provides the necessary fundamentals and knowledge essential for understanding a Power Transmission.

Topics include: units of measurement, Newton’s Three laws, impulse and momentum, simple machines, statics, work, energy, and power, dynamics, conservation of momentum, friction, mechanics of solids, conservations of energy and the laws of thermodynamics, gears, lubrication, bearings, shaft couplings, belt drives, chain drives, and spindles, clutches, and brake.
