Course Description
This course provides a basic understanding of compressors, the types, and the functions of different compressors, choosing a correct compressor for the application, the importance of application, the importance of maintenance practices and common problems associated with compressors. This course provides the basic operating methodology of fans, blowers. The formulas for calculating size and type of fans and blowers. The operation of the different styles of fans and blowers. The selection process for picking the correct style for your operation. The proper maintenance practices for fans and blowers.
Upon completion, the student will be able to identify types of compressors. Pros and con of selection for specific use. The maintenance practice for specific types. The energy efficiency of specific types of compressors. Upon completion, the student should be able to differentiate between fan and blower types, understand fan classification, affinity laws and fan selection. Also understand the maintenance required for different styles of fans.
