Course Description
This course introduces the Hot Strip Mill where red hot slabs are rolled into strips, the product then proceeds to a pickling facility to be cleaned prior to cold rolling.
This course comprises topics including: how the cold rolling process which reduces the thickness and carefully controls the cross section shape, and annealing facilities.
Additional topics include: tempering the strip to achieve the desired final metallurgical quality, and coating methods.
